A common thread of Attorney Cline's legal career has been to fight for the rights and liberties of individuals against the government and its various bureaucracies, which seeks to take away those liberties and expand its own powers. Throughout his career, Attorney Cline has represented individuals and small businesses faced with legal issues against the state and its various bureaucracies. Whether charged with criminal offenses by the government or loss of driving privileges by PennDOT, Attorney Cline has always sided with the individual whose liberty is at stake. Likewise in civil practice, Attorney Cline has represented the individual against bureaucracies, hospitals, insurance companies and physicians. "My Grandpa Jack was killed by a surgeon," he notes, "Nothing was done about it at that time. We are keenly aware of how medical mistakes can deprive someone of time with their most loved ones." He states, "Medical malpractice cases are especially difficult since local doctors rarely testify or even criticize members of their own profession; yet physicians routinely rally among themselves to testify that their mistakes were either an 'assumed risk' of the procedure or that the physician did not deviate from the accepted standard of care even though the result was 'unexpectedly' poor. We accept this challenge and seek justice for our clients". He says, "A red flag regarding medical care is whenever someone leaves the hospital in worse shape than they went in, or alas, if they never leave the hospital alive."
Automobile and other accident cases also require aggressiveness and experience, which our firm can offer. James A. Stranahan III was a highly respected trial lawyer who handled such cases for over thirty years. "I was very fortunate to have him as my mentor in my early years of trial practice," reflected Attorney Cline.
Mr. Cline also represents various businesses and organizations, and enjoys assisting entrepreneurs and other business people start companies. The business lawyer must be able to guide his client through the red tape and bureaucratic hurdles necessary to begin a business entity and continue its existence.
